Muse Launches in Japan: Meta's Agent Leaves North America for the First Time

Muse news · October 28, 2026
Meta announced that Muse, its personal AI agent, is now available in Singapore — starting October 28, 2026. Singapore follows Japan (October 23) as the next country launch outside North America, where Muse debuted in September. It is Meta's first Muse launch in Southeast Asia.
What happened
- A new country, on every platform. Muse is available in Singapore on iOS, Android and muse.ai — the same places users in earlier markets access it — and Meta says it is coming soon to AI glasses.
- Free for most use, paid plans for more. Meta says Muse is free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for people who want to do more. The announcement does not state any prices.
- The core connectors are on from the start. In Singapore, Muse connects to Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram, so it can help manage email, coordinate schedules and draw on saved content to get everyday tasks done.
- Eight early local partners — rolling out progressively, not all live on day one. Meta names Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada as early local connector partners, spanning shopping, groceries, dining and travel. Meta says connector features will roll out progressively, with some experiences becoming available after launch.
- What those partners are for. Meta's examples: research products and compare prices before buying on Shopee or Lazada; plan grocery shopping and dining through GrabMart and Grab Dine Out; explore travel, ticketing and reservation options through Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook and Trip.com; and earn cashback on travel and shopping plus claim in-store dining deals through ShopBack.
- Same agent, same safeguards. Muse runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated computer in the cloud that stores the data and credentials for the services you connect, while keeping passwords and payment methods out of the agent's view. You choose what your Muse can access, and it checks with you before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase.
What it means for your business
Your business may not sell in Singapore — but this launch confirms the pattern your business should plan around:
- The country-by-country rollout is real, and it is moving fast. Japan on October 23, Singapore on October 28: five days apart. Muse is not staying a US-only product — each new market brings a new pool of customers who will shop, book and organise through an agent.
- In every new country, local commerce comes with the launch. Meta did not launch a bare chatbot in Singapore — it arrived with the local shopping, grocery, dining and travel names people already use (Shopee, Grab, Lazada, Singapore Airlines and others). That is the template: when Muse reaches a market your business serves, being present on the connected platforms is what makes you reachable by agent-driven customers.
- Progressive rollout means early presence wins. Because connector features arrive in stages, businesses already listed with clear prices, terms and availability on the connected platforms are the ones Muse can use first as each feature switches on.
Try this
Use Muse to check how ready your business is for customers arriving from newly launched Muse markets in Asia:
"Act as my international sales advisor. Here is my business: [what you sell, where you sell it — for example your Shopify store or booking page — and which countries your customers come from]. Muse has just launched in Singapore, days after launching in Japan, with local partners including Shopee, Grab, Lazada, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook and Trip.com rolling out progressively. Tell me: 1) the 3 things a customer in Singapore using Muse would need to find clearly on my pages before their agent could buy or book from me, 2) anything in my offer — prices, terms, delivery or cancellation — that would be unclear to a buyer abroad, and 3) one small first step I could take this week to be ready for agent-driven customers from new countries. Keep it in plain English."
